STEWED APPLES
1 qt. apples (firm)
1/2 stick butter
Pinch of salt
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
Sprinkle sugar over apples. Let stand for 1/2 hour (makes apples firmer). Then add salt, water and butter. Cook fast until tender. (Don't over cook will mush up.) Serve with hot biscuits.
